Heart Rate

SkyPad senses Heartbeats of user and estimates the Heart Rate as number of heartbeats per minute. SkyPad performs this function automatically and continuously. Heart Rate is displayed in real time on the Health Display and remotely on mobile devices with OnSky Health app.  

 

Knowing heart rate during sleep and tracking it over time may help user to monitor and improve his/her general health.

Respiration Rate

SkyPad senses and estimates the number of breaths per minute as Breathing Rate. SkyPad performs this function automatically and continuously. Heart Rate is displayed in real time on the Health Display and remotely on mobile devices with OnSky Health app.

 

Knowing breathing rate during sleep and tracking it over time may help user to monitor and improve his/her general health.

Body Movement Monitoring

SkyPad monitors body movements/motions of user to estimate sleep disturbance and health status. For example, if user is moving many times during a sleep, then his/her sleep quality is affected. Caregiver can use movement information to ensure patient's well-being.

Sleep Quality

SkyPad senses and estimates sleep stages/cycles including N1, N2, Deep Sleep and REM Sleep during user is sleeping. It combines with other factors to estimate how well user has slept and provides user a Sleep Score. Sleep quality is available on Health Display and mobile devices after every sleep.

Sleep quality is useful for any user to improve his/her habits during and even before sleep. Caregiver can use this information to monitor user's comfortability and wellness.

Snoring

SkyPad monitors the snoring frequency of user during sleep. It also estimates the sound volume of user's snore. Snoring information may help user to improve sleep habits and positions that may result in reduction of snoring for better sleep and breathing.

Breathing Quality

SkyPad monitors the breathing irregularity to estimate the quality of user's sleep and well-being. It tracks the events when breathing is irregular or interrupted. User can use this information to improve his/her sleep habits.

Room Temperature / Humidity

SkyPad monitors room temperature and humidity. Temperature and humidity are important to be monitored to ensure user having a safe, healthy and pleasant environment.

Estimated Body Temperature

SkyPad senses user's body temperature through any pillow and estimates its value using its proprietary algorithm while user is lying in bed. This information may be useful to monitor someone who is ill or a patient. This function is only available in SkyPad-Pro model. To use this function, enable the Pillow mode on mobile app or on the Health Display. Place the part of the Pad with OnSky logo outside pillow about 5cm.

Patient Safety Monitoring

SkyPad monitors whether a patient is on the bed or not, or a patient is about to get off bed. This is to care for patient in case he/she is leaving bed without help from caregiver or nurse. Caregiver can remotely monitor bed status and provide help when it is needed.

SkyPad can provide fast bed leaving notification (in less than 6 seconds) as long as the part of the Pad with OnSky logo is placed outside pillow about 5cm.

Sleep Habit Tracking

SkyPad can track user's sleep habits including how often user is sleeping on the right, left or back side. This information may help user to adjust their own habit to improve sleep quality and snoring.

SOS Assistance

SkyPad Health Display has a SOS button (red button) that user can press anytime to alert for local assistance from people nearby. When it is pressed, it will turn on a loud alarm sound from the Health Display. Note that this will not send any SMS messages or calls. For Urgency Alert and Calling to family members and caregivers, user can subscribe the UDAS (Urgency Detection & Alert Service) that is a useful emergency service (optional).
